BOMBS ON ZOO
WILD ANIMALS RELEASED IN BARCELONA LIONS AND TIGERS SHOT BY KEEPERS BARCELONA, August 20. Bombs dropped during an air raid today smashed cages in the zoo, liberating lions, tigers, and panthers. A free fight ensued and the keepers were compelled to shoot the animals. Bombs killed many monkeys and other escaped in the direction of the city.
