NEW ZEALANDERS PROMINENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. SYDNEY, August 21. A number of spring candidates made their appearance at the Victoria Park meeting on Saturday. The course was heavy after rain. Silver Standard, Mananui, Golden Chance, Captain Rose, Litigation and Glaucus ran in the first division of the Welter Handicap, which was won by the much-fancied Arabia from Herarde and Rosmead. Cerne Abbas, Golden Treasure, Yashmak and Viceroy had an outing in the second division, which was won unexpectedly by the veteran Turbine from Coolspell and Blackfern. Golden Treasure and Cerne Abbas ran promisingly, finishing sixth and seventh respectively. Silver Coat finished third in the Brush Hurdle, won by Downham. The Metropolitan candidate Bristol triumphed in the second division of the Flying Handicap, after giving the field a long .start,
