DAZZLING GOLF

FERRIER FIVES BRILLIANT DISPLAY. AUSTRALIAN OPEN TOURNEY. ADELAIDE, August 19. J. Ferrier played dazzling golf to return 69 and again lead the field in the second round of the Australian open championship at Seaton today. He started off with three 3’s—a birdie, an eagle and a birdie —and then three par 4’s. He was out in 32 and home in 36. His aggregate is thus 139. The titleholder, G. Naismith, followed his 76 yesterday with 71 today. Ferrier’s hottest opponent is E. Cremin, who had 72 yesterday and 73 today. Von Nida, with 75 yesterday, dropped further back today with 77 and aggregate 152. Rufus Stewart is still well in the picture with an aggregate of 148.
