WELLINGTON, This Day. “If you come before the court again on this charge, married or single, children or no children, you will be sent to jail,” said’Mr W. C. Harley, S.M.. in the Magistrate’s Court, Wellington, yesterday, when Mrs Jessie Hardie, aged 37, was charged with being intoxicated in charge of a motor-car in Jervois Quay. She was fined £lO and ordered to -pay costs, her licence was cancelled, and she was prohibited from obtaining another for two years. The magistrate allowed one month in which to pay the fine.
