ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

NURSING DIVISION LECTURE. There was a good attendance of members of the senior and junior branches of the Nursing Division at a lecture . given by Dr. Helen Cowie on Tuesday evening in the Lecture Room at the Municipal Hall. The subjects referred to by the lecturer were the art of making a sick bed, the observation of the patient, etc. At the close of the lecture instruction in bed-making the roller bandaging was given by Miss Whitehouse .(lady superintendent). The. ■ cadet branch of this Division has closed down for the term holidays. The reports received in connection with, this branch have been very good, the pupils showing considerable skill in first aid, which is most satisfactory to the- ladies who give their time to teach these children. During the past weekend two senior members, Mrs McKenzie and Mrs- H. W. Thompson;' attended the basketball tournament held last week at the College' grounds and attended several players who-suffered minor injuries. These members also attended the hockey matches on Saturday afternoon last.
