LIVING STANDARDS
LEAGUE OF NATIONS REPORT. NEW ZEALAND IN GOOD POSITION. (Recd This Day, 12.25 p.m.) LONDON, August 18. A League of Nations report on living standards, by Professor N. F. Hall, tracing the effect of living standards on death rates, shows that New Zealand, Australia and the Netherlands have the most .satisfactory vital statistics. Better living standards bring about a more stable economic system.
