CIVIL AIR GUARD
COMMISSIONERS APPOINTED IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.). (Recd This Day, 10.55 a.m.) RUGBY, August 18. The Air Ministry has announced that the following have consented to serve as commissioners for the Civil Air Guard, under • the chairmanship of Lord Londonderry:— Mi- W. Lindsay Everard, M.P. for Melton. He is an honorary air commodore in the Auxiliary Air Force and chairman of the Royal Aero Club and of the General Council associated with light, aeroplane clubs. He possesses his own aerodrome at Ratcliffe. Major Alan Goodfellow, who is a solicitor and a war time pilot in the Royal Air Force. He is a member of the Lancashire Aero Club and of the General Council associated with light aeroplane clubs. He is both an aeroplane and glider pilot. Mrs Miles, who is the wife of Mr F. G. Miles, joint managing director of Phillips and Powis, Aircraft, Ltd., of Reading. She is a pilot and member of the Reading Flying Club. Mr Robert Murray, who is president of the Glasgow Corporation Transport Flying Club. Air-Commodore J. A. Chamier is secretary to the commission.
