EKETAHUNA SALE Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their weekly Eketahuna sale yesterday as follow: —A fair yarding of dairy cattle and pigs came forward and met a keen sale from a large attendance of buyers. Springing Jersey heifers were in demand and made values well up to, and in some cases in advance of those ruling of late. Dairy cows close to profit were also in good demand making late sale values. There was also a spirited sale for pigs, prices being well in advance of those obtained at last week’s sales. We report a total clearance as follow: —Good springing Jersey heifers, £7 10s, £7 15s, £8 2s 6d, £8 10s, to £8 15s; Later calvers, £5 10s, £5 15s, £6, £6 2s 6d, to £6 17s 6d; Springing dairy cows, £7 10s, £B, £8 7s 6d; late calving, do, £5, £5 ss, £5 17s 6d to £6 7s 6d; pigs, good weaners, 245, good slips, 28s; sundries, hay, £4 16s to £6 per ton.
