The Wellington Badminton Association’s tournament was continued last night, good progress being made in the various events. There were no surprises in the A grade championship events. Following are the results of last night’s matches:— A Grade. Men’s Singles:—Second round: G. A. Pearce beat N. Gosnell, 15-5, 15-5; E. Ridyard beat G. Knight, 15-10, 15-12; E. A. Rousell beat W. Jupp, 15-1, 15-7; J. Pay ton beat H. D. Reid by default. Women’s Singles:—First round: Miss N. Fleming beat Miss P. Ball, 11-1, 11-3; Miss L. Berry beat Miss N. Payton, 11-9, 11-8. Mixed Doubles:—First round: Ridyard and Miss M. Leach beat Wheeley and Miss N. Pay ton, 15-10, 15-11; J. Payton and Miss B. Payton beat Knight and Miss Ball, 15-8, 17-14. B Grade.
