£30 OR THIRTY DAYS

INTOXICATED DRIVER FINED IN CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. While in a state of intoxication, shortly before six o’clock last evening, Robert Thomas Court, of Springston, attempted to get into his car, stationed outside a hotel, but failed. Later he got into the car and, while turning in Cashel Street, he backed into a bicycle leaning against a post. These facts were detailed by Sub-Inspector Packer in the Magistrate’s Court this morning, when Court was fined £3O and costs on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a car. Default was fixed at thirty days’ imprisonment.
