AIR LINE BETWEEN EUROPE & AMERICA LINDBERGH CONFERRING WITH SOVIET. * BELIEVED TO BE ACTING FOR GOVERNMENT. (Recd This Day, 10.35 a.m.) MOSCOW, August 17. Colonel Lindbergh is discussing with the Soviet the establishment of a regular air line from Europe to America, via the North Pole and Behring Straits. His mission is believed to have been sponsored by the United States Government.
