B.H. NIGHTLY (12). To Stand the Season at Greytown. NTIGHTLY, a magnificent individual, is one of the finest specimens of the thoroughbred which has raced in New Zealand or Australia. NIGHTLY’S Sire, Night Raid, was the sire of the wonder horse Phar Lap, and of Nightmarch, who won the Melbourne Cup, the New Zealand Cup, and other important races. HIS DAM, Miss Muriel, a Lucullus mare, introduces both St. Simon and Musket blood to the pedigree. Miss Muriel is by Lucullus from Lady Bob, by Soult from First Love, by Nordenfelt. NIGHTLY won the N.Z. Derby (14 miles), the Canterbury Cup (14 miles), Randwick Plate (2 miles), Fisher Plate (1J miles), Moonee Valley Cirp (14 miles), A.R.C. Clifford Plate (1.1 miles), etc. He was a splendid stayer, and is of fine masculine type. He should beget good horses. Nightly is in his prime, being only 7 years old. Mares met at Greytown Railway Station. All care taken, but no responsibility. FEE: 15 guineas. Grazing: 57- week. j. a. McDougall, Martinborough, or H. McNAE, Groom, Greytown.
