“THE CINGALEE”
FAVOURITE WITH THE PUBLIC. ANOTHER FINE PRESENTATION. The large attendance at the Opera House last night greatly enjoyed the presentation of “The- Cingalee,” by the clever Masterfon Amateurs. The various performers have now “got into their stride” with the result that last night everything went smoothly from start to finish, with an improved production on that of Saturday night. The pleasure derived from witnessing “Tlie Cingalee” is such as is seldom provided by amateur presentations. The principals were outstanding for the manner in which they enacted their respective roles and even those with lesser parts made the most of them. The dancing, singing 1 and the orchestral music were up to the best traditions of the Masterton Amateurs. The audience was very enthusiastic last night and showed their appreciation in warm applause. “The Cingalee” will be staged again this evening.
