GERMAN NEEDS
SHORTAGE OF MANPOWER & MATERIALS GOERING CALLS CONFERENCE REDUCTION IN BUILDING LIKELY (Recd This Day, 11.45 a.m.) BERLIN, August 15. Marshal Goering has summoned industrialists, Nazi financiers, economists and district leaders to a conference on August 17 to discuss measures to cope with the manpower and raw material shortage involving far-reaching changes in the Four Year plan. It is believed that a slowing down of the building programme is necessitated in view of the increasingly serious shortage of raw materials.
