JULY IMPORTS AND EXPORTS MEAT AND DAIRY PRODUCE SHOW INCREASES (Recd This Day. 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, August 15. The Board of Trade returns for July show imports at £73,939,000, exports £37,470,000; re-exports, £4,555,000. The principal increases, compared with July of last year, are imports of meat, £1,546,000; dairy produce, £l,052,000. Exports, machinery, £508,000. There are decreases in imports of grain and flour, £1,559,000; wood and timber, £3,297,000; iron and steel (manufacturers thereof), £1,057,000; non-ferrous metals and manufactures thereof. £2,187,000; machinery, £578,000. Export decreases are: coal, £682.000; iron and steel, £1,476,000; cotton yarns and manufactures, £2,424,000; woollen and worsted manufactures, £1,247,000; vehicles, £665,000. Decreases are in non-ferrous metals and manufactures, £795,000.
