BODY FOUND
TAKEN FROM TIMARU HARBOUR MAY BE THAT OF MISSING BRIDEGROOM (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TIMARU, This Day. A body in the advances stages of decomposition was recovered from Timaru Harbour this morning. It is thought to be the body of Tertius Munro McKinnon, of Kurow, who was married at Oamaru on June 28, left a Timaru hotel on July 2 to visit a doctor, and did not return. An extensive search has been made since the mysterious disappearance of missing bridegroom was announced by the bride, but, apart from the discovery of an unidentified hat in Caroline Bay a few days after his disappearance, no trace has been discovered of McKinnon, in spite of broadcast descriptions over the commercial and national network. Mr A. H. McKinnon, a well-known Kurow farmer and father of the missing man, has been communicated with and will attempt to establish the identity of the body this afternoon. A late mesage states that a wristlet watch found on the body bears the initials “T. M.,” and puts it beyond doubt that the body is that of the missing bridegroom. It is impossible to identify the body by any other mean's than the clothes and the watch.
