i Dr R. C. Campbell and Mrs Campbell, of Rhodes Street, have been away to Taihape on a short trip. Mrs W. J. Candy, Taylor Street, has found it necessary to enter the Croydon Hospital, Carterton, for treatment. ENGAGEMENTS. The engagement is announced of Hilda, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Millar, Irwell, Canterbury to Ralph Fleetwood G., only son of Mr and Mrs A. S. Hutching, Woodville. The engagement is announced of Joan Margaret Gordon', eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Gordon Laing, of Fairview, Upper Plain, Masterton, to Owen Alexander, eldest son of Mr and Mrs T. Wyeth, of Hawkhurst, Mount Bruce, Masterton. The engagement is announced of Jill, only daughter of Mrs Del Hayman, Grant Road, Wellington, to Richard Edward Ralph Robertshawe, third son of Mrs M. L. H. Coghill, Wanganui, and the late R. H. Robertshawe, Dannevirke.
