SPRING COLOURS
CONTRIBUTIONS FROM MEXICO AND BERMUDA. Bermuda and Mexico have both contributed their quota of colours to the spring season; the former with a number of pastel tones, and the latter with very vivid colours. The names have been chosen to match, and included in the Mexican group are hi-lo yellow, red green and bl ue —brights colours which appear in the crafts of the country. There are also desert sage—a bluey-green; cactus —a rose with a tinge of purple; and mexi-tan—o soft shade of brown. The aqua pastels are soft tones of rose, azure blue, and grey, and look especially well in linens for out-dooi wear. The formal colours include the al-ways-chic black, navy, Paris blue—a lighter shade of navy blue—French blue—another tone lighter; cyclamen blue and pink; Paris grey and Molyneux gold. Then there is the range of cornflour blues, beiges, red fox reds, and greens pale as a lily of the valley leaf. Schiaparelli combines pale green with purple; pale green with wine red; very pale blue with emerald green and’ lilac with raspberry, touched with emerald.
