MR JORDAN & LEAGUE PRESIDENCY. EARLIER REPORT DENIED. LONDON, Aug. 11. The New Zealand High Commissioner (Mr W. J. Jordan) will become temporary president of the League of Nations by rotation, a few days before the Assembly in September, when the president is elected. Mr Jordan denies that he has been sounded as to whether he would accept the presidency.
