SALVATION ARMY
SPECIAL SERVICES TOMORROW. A most interesting series of services will be conducted at the Salvation Army all day tomorrow by Adjutant Hutchins, an Indian missionary officer. A special feature of these services will be the presence of Sister Mrs McLean, from Dannevirke, who will be the speaker at each gathering. Mrs McLean is noted today in New Zealand as one of the Army’s greatest trophies of grace. Coming to New Zealand just after the Great War, having been War nurse, she settled down away in the back-blocks with her husband. Four years ago she came in contact with the Salvation Army, and as a result of personal interest shown towards her l/y the r officer, she was converted to Christianity, and ever since she has been travelling around the country telling her most thrilling story of redeeming grace. Mrs McLean is a gifted speaker, and she will be heard expounding the Gospel at each service tomorrow, and in her thrilling life story at 3 p.m. All are welcome to the special services.
