THE COMMERCIAL SERVICE. RESOLUTIONS BY LABOUR UNIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The executive of the Wellington branch of the Watersiders’ Union passed a resolution urging the Controller of the commercial broadcasting service (Mr C. G. Scrimgeour) to withdraw his resignation, and calling on the Prime Minister and members of Cabinet to use their influence in retaining his services as controller. A similar resolution was carried by the Hutt Valley Railway Workshops employees, also by the employees of the Johnsonville Town Board.
