Indoor Basketball.

In the indoor basketball matches played at the Y.M.C.A. on Wednesday night, the results were as follow:— Reliance Retread won from Harcombe’s Motors, 19 to 2 (Reliance Retread scorers, F. Bodie 4, B. Bodie 3, W. Reynolds 12; Harcombe’s scorer, N. Parsonson 2); P. Hamill and Co. lost to Falkner's Service Station by, 12 to 19 (scorers for Falkner’s, D. Falkner 2, N. Falkner 6, N. Wilson 4, B. Falkner 4, C. Falkner 3; P. Hamill and Co.’s scorers, Greager 8, Dwyer 4). Aero Club Activities. Messrs T. E. Denbee, R. W. Prout and J. H. Hamill have been accepted for enrolment in the Civil Reserve of Pilots, and will receive their flying training with the Wairarapa and Ruahine Aero Club at the Hood Aerodrome, Masterton. There is still a limited number of vacancies available, and intending applicants should send in enrolment forms promptly. On Sunday afternoon next a bombing competition will be held at the Hood Aerodrome. Two machines will be available for the competition. Billiards and Snooker. The Y.M.C.A. Cup billiards and snooker competition was continued last night, when Pioneers and Daniell’s drew. Details (Daniell’s players mentioned first in each case):—Billiards: J. Dew won from T. Rimene, S. Watson lost to J. Wilson, M. Reid lost to J. Rimene, H. Slight won from R. House, F. Allen won from T. Potangaroa. Snooker: J. Dew won from P. Rimene, 5. Watson lost to J. Wilson, W. Reid lost to J. Rimene, H. Slight lost to R. House, S. Allen won from T. Potangaroa. The draw for next week is as follows:— Tuesday, Catholic Club v. Post Office; Thursday, Daniell’s v. Y.M.C.A. A team.
