Middlesex, first innings 190 (Watts 5 for 43); second innings 131 (Squires 4 for 26). Surrey won by 200 runs. Gloucester, first innings, 134 (Knott 5 for 51); second innings, 140. Hampshire, first innings 172 (Goddard 5 for 61); second innings 58 (Goddard 7 for 26). Gloucester won by forty-four runs. Notts, first innings 303 (Keeton 101, Harris 90); second innings, 9 for 291. Lancashire, first innings 6 for 422 declared (Oldfield 86, Paynter 140). Lancashire won on the first innings. Northants, first innings 207 (Hollies 6 for 66); second innings 159 (Hollies 6 for 66). Warwick, first innings 8 for 310 declared (Buckingham not out 137); second innings 2 for 57. Warwick won by eight wickets. Glamorgan, first innings 110 (Wellard 5 for 32, Meyer 5 for 46); second innings 234. Somerset, first innings 147; second innings 1 for 51. Rain stopped play. Somerset won on the first innings.
