THE ALL BLACKS
PRELIMINARY SELECTION FOR SATURDAY POSSIBLE TEAM CHANGES (Recd This Day, 10.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Managers of the All Blacks, in Canberra, announced the names of 20 men from whom the New Zealand Test side for Saturday will be chosen. The players named are:—Taylor, Phillips, Morrison, Dick, Mitchell, Wesney, Sullivan, Griffiths, Berghan, Saxton, Jackson, George, Quaid, Lambourn. McKenzie, Wynyard, King, Milliken, Bowman and Parkhill. Dalton is not available, owing to a slight indisposition. It is likely that Dick will play in preference to either Phillips or Morrison, but it is unlikely that the Sax-ton-Berghan-Sullivan-Mitchell combination will be disturbed if all these players are fit. There are rumours in Sydney that Saxton will not play because of his injury, but Canberra advises that the injury to his ankle is only slight. The vacant position the front row will probably be filled by either Jackson or Lambourn, and Wynyard may be the second row forward to be omitted.
