JUVENILES ENTERTAIN
PERFORMANCE IN OPERA •' HOUSE. An excellent entertainment was presented in the Opera House last night by juvenile performers, in aid of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary funds. The theatre was filled and the programme was thoroughly enjoyed by all, the audience being a most appreciative one. The various items were .as follow: — Action song, Hamua Juvenile Party; tap ballet, “Stepping Along,” Miss Woods’s pupils; action poems, Jocelyn Heath and Margaret Dagg (Miss Coleman); juniors at drill, Wairarapa College girls; violin solo, Douglas Tagg (Mr Larsen); ballet, Miss Stimpson’s pupils; exercises through play, Y.M.C.A. junior boys; song in character, “They Call me Dolly Varden,” Beulah Hirst (Mrs Paterson); “The Man Hatter’s Tea Party,” Miss Coleman’s pupils; skipping, St. Matthew’s College girls; song in character, “Jane’s Big Umbrella,” Margaret Thomson (Miss Dickson); dance duo, “Romance.” Kathleen Dallas and Valmae Price (Miss Woods); playette, “The Bloaters,” Kaituna Players; action song, Hamua Juvenile Party; the sailor’s ballet. Miss Stimpson’s pupils; folk dance, Y.M.C.A. junior girls; song and dance, “Lady in Blue,” Miss Woods’s pupils;’ guitar solo, Jack: Hocigetts (Mr Paris); rhythmic drill, St. Matthew’s College girl's; song and tap, “Old Southern Custom,” Ngaire Marsh and Yvonne Saunders (Miss Dickson); wand drill, Y.M.C.A. senior girls; Pageant of Empire, children of Solway Institute.
