PHILATELIST ALSO CLEVER MOVIE FAN.

Alice Faye recently gave her most unusual autograph. The beautiful 20th Century-Fox star, who heads a great cast with Tony Martin and Fred Allen in “Sally, Irene and Mary,” opening next week at the State Theatre, received an envelope postmarked at Alice. Ohio, and Faye, Kentucky. The sender wrote that he was one of her fans and had combed the United States’ postal guide to discover the two towns so he could send the letter to the postmasters for the proper markings, and thence to the actress. Alice promptly autographed the envelope and returned it to the fan.
