TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD
MEETING IN MASTERTON. AN INTERESTING ADDRESS. Mrs W. H. Judd presided at the monthly meeting of the Townswomen’s Guild held in the Y.M.C.A. Hall yesterday afternoon, there being an excellent attendance, including many new members. The roll call was “The Hobby That Gives Me Most Pleasure,” several members responding. Mrs Traynor sang two delightful solos, “May Day Morn” and “My Treasure,” and Miss Jean Douglas gave two elocutionary items which were much appreciated. Mr H. R. Keltie’s address, “Mind the Master,” proved very interesting. Mr Keltie spoke on the influence of thought on both the individual and upon human relations. Child psychology was also dealt with, and upon concluding, Mr Keltie was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his instructive and helpful talk. A large variety of articles, “Oldest possessions and with dates,” were displayed on the exhibition table. A buffet afternoon tea and the singing of the Guild Ode brought the meeting to a close.
