JUVENILE ENTERTAINERS
OPERA HOUSE TOMORROW ■ EVENING The Y.M.C.A. is noted for the excellent entertainments it has produced in the past few years, and the attraction in the Opera House tomorrow night promises to be no exception. From the synopsis of the programme given in our advertising columns it may be seen that those attending the concert are assured of an entertainment of high standard and great variety. Many of the items represent the work of teachers of art in Masterton, and from past recitals given by the various teachers, patrons can look forward to seeing interesting and well finished work. The introduction of the Hamua Junior Party of Maori Entertainers to the programme will prove a welome addition, for Maori items are always a delight to Masterton audiences. Tn view of the interest being taken in physical education today, the various kinds of drill and physical work being displayed by girls and boys from Wairarapa College, St Matthew’s College, and the Y.M.C.A. will introduce another phase of training in child life. Playettes and pageantry have an attractive place on all programmes of this type—and these doo are being provided for by those responsible for the concert. Of interest to adults and children alike will be the tricks of Mr S. Gerrard's trained dog, which is a special feature introduced into a programme which is otherwise almost wholly by children. Seats for the concert may be reserved at the Arts and Crafts, and remembering the experiences of last year, patrons are well advised to take advantage of this facility.
