FIGHTING FIRE
FOREIGN MINISTER LENDS A HAND. OUTBREAK ON YORKSHIRE ESTATE. (British Official Wireless.) (Recd This Day, 10.5 a.m.) RUGBY, Aug. 8. Viscount Halifax was among the volunteers who lent a hand fighting a fire which broke out on his estate near Garrowby, in Yorkshire, during a thunderstorm. The fire occurred in a farm building on Woodley Wold, part of Lord Halifax’s estate, when a barn and granary was struck by lightning.
