COMMUNIST APPEALS
BATCH OF EXONERATIONS. MOSCOW, August 7. In order to help the thousands of loyal Communists unjustly treated in last year’s clean-up, the Communist Party has secured a review of 85,000 appeals, resulting in 46,000 exonerations and reinstatements. Seventy-five thousand of the hundred thousand, appeals lodged in 1938 are being considered.
