CASTLEPOINT RACING CLUB
BUSINESS AT ANNUAL MEETING. Members of the Castlepoint Racing Club, at the annual meeting, held at Tinui last night, expressed their satisfaction with the progress the club had made. It was stated that the credit balance had been doubled and the club was commencing the new year with £6O in hand. The president, Mr R. Pilmer, expressed thanks on behalf of the club, to all who had given assistance during the year, including the Masterton Racing Club for the loan of gear and equipment. Officers wer’e elected as follow: —Patron, Mr P. E. Baldwin; president, Mr R. Pilmer; vice-presidents, Messrs F. Ashworth, T. Hampson, W. Jones, T. Hanley; stewards, Messrs N. A. Christiansen, J. Innes, C. Beiliss, J. Dalziell, A. Schofield, T. Langdon, F. Maunsell, R. Hewitt, H. Laing, A. Jenkins, F. Bennett, M. Innes and W. Innes. It is proposed to hold the annual race meeting on February 25, starting at about 2.30 p.m. Mr Hampson promised to donate a cup for the next race meeting. The programme was left in the hands of the stewards to arrange.
