The cricket match between Scotland and Australia was drawn. The Australians punished the weak bowling and lost wickets cheerfully for a total of 320 runs, scored in 145 minutes. Fingleton, Ward and Brown between them hit nine sixers. Scotland had seven wickets still to fall at 5 p.m.. with only an hour left for play.
O’Reilly, Fleetwood-Smith and Ward secured quick wickets but Badcock was then brought on and bowled seven fantastic overs, McCabe exercising all his ingenuity to give Scotland the satisfaction of a draw.
