Damages Awarded to Widow.

A verdict in favour of plaintiff was returned and £693 14s damages awarded by the jury in the Supreme Court, Wellington, which heard the suit of Ann Humphreys, widow, for damages for the death of her only son.. Plaintiff’s son died shortly after a cycle he was riding collided with a van driven by Cavell at the corner of Wilson Street and Owen Street, Wellington, and plaintiff alleged that the accident was the result of the van driver's negligence.
