TRIBUTE TO LATE MEMBERS;' (By Telegraph—>ress Association.) WELLINGTON, August 5. The council of the New Zealand Society of Accountants, which met this week, agreed that the registered accountants (members who were in salaried positions but not in public practice) who were qualified for advancement in status should be further encouraged to apply for fellowships. High tributes were paid to the long period of faithful and efficient service given as members of the council by Messrs W. H. Irvine (Gisborne) and J. B. Reid (Invercargioll), who died recently. The next conference is to be held at Palmerston North.
