HANS BERTRAM COMPLETES CIRCUIT. JOURNEY TAKES NEARLY 23 DAYS (Recd This Day, 12.55 p.m.) BERLIN, -August. 4. The German aviator, Hans Bertram, who left Berlin on July 15 ph a round-the-world flight, has arrived. He lost twenty-four hours. in the accident at the. Azores on August 2 and took twenty days 211 hours for his round-the-world flight, as compared with that of the American journalist, H. R.. Ekins in October,'l936, whose time was eighteen and a half days. He also was using only commercial transport. Hans Bertram’s seaplane, when alighting at Horta, Azores, collided with a yacht, damaging her nose and a wing.
