HONOURS DIVIDED IN FOUR CONTESTS NEW YORK, August 3. Supporters . and opponents of the New Deal divided the honours at four Democratic primaries. Senator Clark (Missouri) who opposed the Supreme Court revision and other of President Roosevelt’s measures, and Senator McGill (Kansas), a loyal Roosevelt supporter, were both renominated. Three West Virginia members of the House of Representatives, supporters of the New Deal, were renominated and two New Deal Virginia members were defeated.
