. INVESTIGATIONS IN CANADA. OTTAWA, Canada. A total of 58 survey and exploratory parties, comprising a force of close to 300 men have been assigned to field work this year by the Canadian Government to map and investigate areas in every mineral producing section of the Dominion. There are 41 parties engaged in geological investigations and 17 in topographical mapping. In addition ten government parties will be engaged in the gathering of new information on Canadian fauna, flora, and native races, and in the collection of new specimens for the National Museum of Canada.
