General situation: Though a weak anti-cyclone is centred off the East Coast, pressure remains low over the New Zealand area, while an intense anti-cyclone covers Eastern Australia and is advancing on to the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Light to moderate north-easterly to northerly winds, backing by tomorrow to strong southerly. Weather: Fair at first, with rising temperatures, but cloud developing and weather becoming cold and showery again with southerly change.
