ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS

LOYAL MASTERTON LODGE. FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Manchester Unity Odd .Fellows Lodge was presided over by Bro. F. Knowles, N.G. The Wellington Past Grands’ Lodge will pay a visit to the Wairarapa Past Grands’ Lodges at Masterton on September 10. P.G. Bros R. Baikie and W. Palmer were appointed delegates to the P.G.’s Lodge to make all arrangements. One new member was initiated irito the Order. Several members reported on the visit to the Loyal Dannevirke Lodge’s Jubilee which had been a very successful function. The dance committee reported that a successful dance had been held on July 23 and that another dance would be held on August 20 in the Masonic Hall. The lodge officers entered for the ritual competition. The Druids’ Lodge challenged the Odd Fellows’ Lodge to a game of bowls which took place after the lodge meeting. Supper was provided, and a very pleasant time was spent at bowls. The game resulted in a win for the Druids. All Past Grands are requested to attend the Past Grands’ meeting. It was pointed out that it was their duty to be present. The lodge “quarter night” will take place at the end of the present month, when urgent business will require the attention of members.
