WORLD CHAMPION’S CLAIMS. Passing a camel through the eye of a needle is a feat comparable with those performed by Mr J. Serrelli, who proclaims himself the needle-threading champion of the world. Not long ago an American girl read of his skill, so she threaded 224 strands of cotton through the eye of a standard darning needle and sent it to him as a challenge. He took one look at it, sneered, slid another 26 threads through and dispatched it by return. post. All over the world men have tried similar feats. One man engraved the Lord’s Prayer on the head of a pin. Another, an Indian, wrote “May God grant a long, happy and prosperous life to the Hon’ble Sir Bhupendra Nath Mitra, K.C.5.1., K.C.1.E., C.8.E., High Commissioner For India, India House, London, W.C.2,” on a grain of rice and Professor Joachim Schreiber wrote 499 words entirely on the edge of a visiting card! z
