ON STRIKE IN AUSTRALIA DISPUTE OVER PROPOSED AWARD (Recd This Day, 12.40 p.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. About 30 engineers and other tradesmen employed by Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation at its factory in Fisherman’s Bend, have gone on strike, thus disorganising Australia’s newest industry. The dispute was caused by a proposed new award.
