PREMIER ON TOUR
WELCOMES IN CANTERBURY CENTRES
JOURNEYING IN COLD WEATHER
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
The Prime Minister, the Rt Hon M. ■T. Savage, completed a tour of Canterbury today, returning north m the afternoon. He. addressed a large meeting a£ Waimate last evening. This morning, Mr Savage paid flying vists to Makikihi, Pareora ... and Pleasant, Point, receiving warm welcomes at' each centre, and having luncheon at the latter place as the guest of local bodies.
Late this afternoon, Mr Savage will meet the Hon R. Semple at Arundel, where he will inspect the irrigation works.
Mr Savage will be entertained at Ashburton this evening, prior to which he will visit Methven.
The weather during the tour has been clear, but cold, the party travel-. ling over many roads covered with snow.
