LONDON QUOTATIONS BUTTER IN LIMITED DEMAND Butter was in limited demand in London last week, according to the report received by the Primary Products Marketing Department. Australian, salted, 119 s to 120 s (120 s to 121 s); unsalted, 120 s to 121 s (120 s to 121 s). Danish, 104 s 6d, f.0.b.; 125 s to 126 s spot (105 s 125 s to 1265). Dutch, unsalted, 110 s to 112 s, ex 114 s (112 s to 114 s). Lithuanian, unsalted, 113 s 6d (115 s Retail prices are unchanged, New Zealand and Danish at Is 3d a lb. Deliveries of New Zealand butter last week were 1446 tons. The quantity in store was 644 tons, including 368 tons ex the Port Jackson, as against 5503 tons a year ago. Deliveries of Australian butter last week were 526 tons, the quantity in store being 4119 tons, as against 5108 tons a year ago. The cheese market was quiet last week. Australian, white, 65s 6d to 67s (66s 6d to 68s); coloured, 66s to 67s 6d (67s to 68s). Canadian, white and coloured, 78s to 80s (78s to 80s); c.i.f., 67s (68s). English, finest farmers’, 84s to 86s (102 s 6d to 104 s 6d); factory cheese, 65s to 65s 6d (64s to 66s 6d). The retail price of New Zealand cheese is unchanged at 9d a lb. Deliveries of New Zealand cheese last week were 17,081 crates. The quantity in store, including 5410 crates ex the Rotorua, was 81,670 crates, as against 39,602 crates a year ago. Deliveries of Canadian cheese last week were 5165 boxes. The quantity in store was 77,462 boxes, as compared with 100,559 boxes a year ago.
