The “Daily Telegraph’s” Paris correspondent says the Government has decided to lay a 280-mile underground pipeline, to convey petrol, from a port on the Atlantic coast to Montargis, in Central France, in order to fill vast subterranean reservoirs and assure an adequate war time fuel supply to the Army and Air Force.
