SIT GRACEFULLY
AN EXCELLENT EXERCISE Next time you are in a restaurant, glance under the tables at the legs of the occupants. Some will be twisted around chair legs others over one another. A graceful and pretty way to place your feet when sitting is with one foot slightly forward, or with both feet pressed together and slightly raised on the toes and a little to one side of the chair. An excellent exercisq which will train you to sit gracefully is to stand naturally with the back of a chair placed on your right-hand side. Take one step forward with the right foot, another step forward with the left foot, and you will notice that you are then slightly in advance of the seat of the chair. Then take a step sideways with the right foot, and, keeping the weight of the body on the right leg, sit down. You will discover that the left leg will slide forward as the body sits, and that there is not the slightest need to look for the chair. It is there, and your body will find it automatically. Place your hands in your lap, and you are then gracefully seated.
