TRADE IN CRABS

OREGON VILLAGE RETURNS. Figures released by the Commercial Fisheries Association of Oregon indicate that fishermen operating out of this little village brought in'50,173 dozen crabs for the year ending March 31, 1938. The shell fish from this section of the Oregon Coast are rapidly gaining a reputation for quality, according to the report. Only a few years ago the majority of the year’s catch was shipped to Portland and a few Washington points. The last year’s catch was shipped to all parts of the United States, with more than 15,000 dozen choice crabs being sent to the food markets of New York Citv.
