THE WATERLOO CUP WON BY MASTERTON DOG. DIVISION OF THE PURSE. INVERCARGILL, This Day. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) The Waterloo Cup meeting was concluded this morning in fine weather. The Cup was won by the Masterton owned The Clipper, and it was a fitting finale to some first class coursing. Results: — Waterloo Cup:—Semi-final: The Clipper beat Bev’s Worry, 3 to 2 1-3. Royal Ensign was withdrawn because of an injury, and Wilgas Worry had an accidental bye. Final: James T. Taylor’s The Clipper beat Kennelly and Tatham’s Wilgas Worry, by 41 points to 3J, Waterloo Purse: —Semi-final: Rereatu beat Janet Gaynor by 8 points to 6. Final: Owing to an injury to Golden King the owner of Rereatu sportingly agreed to divide the stake. Both dogs are Masterton-owned, by Archer Bros, and E. J. Wing respectively.
