LORD RUNCIMAN’S MISSION TO PRAGUE SUDETEN PARTY CHANGES ATTITUDE. GAP TOO WIDE TO BE BRIDGED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. PRAGUE, July 29. Abandoning its previous attitude of friendly reserve toward Lord Runciman, who is going to Prague to act as mediator in the dispute with the Czech Government, the Sudeten official Newsletter says: "Britain is trying to prevent the impending battle' of ideologies by advocating a compromise which cannot produce a fundamental decision. “It would be unfair to create personal difficulties for Lord Runciman, who has nobly undertaken the task, it clear that the gap between the Sudeten Germans and the Czech Government’s conceptions has become so wide that it is no longer humanly possible to bridge it.” HENLEIN AT BRESLAU. GUEST OF THE FUEHRER. LONDON, July 29. The Berlin correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says that Herr Henlein, Leader’of the Sudetens, will be Hitler’s guest at the Reich sports gymnastic festival at Breslau on July 31, at which Hitler is expected to speak.
