Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. to-day:— Barograph, 30.15; shade temperature, maximum, 40.2, minimum 32.6; terrestrial, 31.6; rain, 35 points. General situation: An anti-cyclone of slight intensity covers the South Island, the highest pressures being along Canterbury and Otago coasts. Pressure is still rather low, however, over the central and northern portions of the Tasman. Forecast: Moderate to strong south-easterly winds prevailing. Weather: Changeable and with occasional rain in most places and snow cm the ranges. Temperature very cold and few frosts. i
