FIRE BRIGADES DISPUTE. NO AGREEMENT ON MAJOR POINTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. No agreement was reached in the New Zealand Fire Brigades dispute, which today was referred from the Conciliation Council to the Arbitration Court. Agreement was reached on a number of minor points, but not on hours ancT wages, part-time workers, the classification of firemen, or lighting and firing allowances. Incidentally, the Court will have to decide the claim for the free provision of radio sets and swimming pools and superannuation on a contributory basis.
